In May 2024 Bastion supported a partner interior ministry program to harden selected energy sites—substations and fuel terminals—against drone harassment and perimeter threats.

The package mixed NetGuard detection/defeat masts with Citadel armored patrol vehicles for response teams. Bastion’s public emphasis was protection of workers and surrounding communities, not offensive operations.

Site managers drilled evacuation routes while C-UAS operators practiced soft-kill engagements under strict spectrum rules. Bastion instructors stayed in advisory roles.

The program became a frequently cited example when Bastion talks about “protecting people where they work,” alongside embassy-district and CASEVAC stories.
