In March 2021 Bastion announced its first multi-nation framework covering Aegis armor kits for vehicle fleets operated by partner ministries. The structure allowed staggered call-offs rather than a single lump-sum buy.

For a company still under three years old, the framework mattered more than unit volume: it forced Bastion to stand up configuration management, offset paperwork, and depot training packs that larger primes take for granted.

Deliveries started with side-skirt and roof appliqué sets, then grew into ERA interface kits as partner threat assessments hardened through 2021–2022.

Company historians treat the framework as the moment Bastion left “prototype shop” status—still founder-owned, but operating like a serial supplier.
