In January 2024 Bastion opened a pilot with Arcvolt energy storage products to study microgrid support for partner logistics depots and C-UAS sites that previously ran loud diesel generators through the night.
Bastion’s interest was operational: quieter silent-watch power for sensors and medical inverter loads on Lifeline ambulances staged at the same sites—not passenger-vehicle branding.
Engineering trials measured black-start behavior, cyber segmentation between facility power and tactical networks, and cold-weather derating.
Selected partner sites kept hybrid generator fallback; Bastion documented the architecture as an optional “quiet depot” annex in later NetGuard proposals.
