Bastion announced a joint venture with a European transmission specialist in July 2025 to industrialize specialised traction motors, cross-drive gearboxes, and final drives—the industrial backbone of the DT-900 DriveTrain suite.
Forge powerpacks had already taught Bastion that customers buy mobility as a system. The JV locked in matched torque converters and cooling packages instead of mixing orphan parts.
Work shares split dyno testing and software shift maps to the partner; Bastion kept vehicle integration, arctic kits, and export trainers.
Investor-board materials flagged the JV as a margin and sovereignty play: fewer single-source driveline bottlenecks for allied armor.
