Bastion and Ferroforge Defence launched a fires-interface partnership in May 2022 to align Bastion Anvil SPH fire-control adapters and Vanguard gun growth paths with widely fielded Ferroforge Defence munition families—without Bastion manufacturing the ammunition itself.
Work packages covered digital fire-control handshakes, fuze adapter envelopes, and safe-to-load documentation for partner acceptance trials.
For Bastion, still founder-owned in 2022, the teaming shortened the path from prototype howitzer to coalition-usable fires. For customers, it reduced orphan-ammo risk.
Live-fire serials in later years referenced this interface baseline when Anvil entered partner frameworks.
