In April 2023 Bastion announced a collaboration with Helion Propulsion on multi-fuel powerpack building blocks, cooling packages, and diagnostics buses for heavy armor—feeding Bastion’s Forge PX-1500 integration and field-swap trainers.
Bastion remained the vehicle integrator and sustainment face to ministries; Helion Propulsion contributed propulsion engineering depth and industrial test capacity.
Joint dyno campaigns validated desert and cold-start envelopes that Bastion later sold as Forge option kits. The partnership also informed arctic propulsion work announced after the 2024 ownership transition.
Program offices stressed clear workshare: no confusion about who owns the hull interface versus the core engine modules.
